At Hydraulic Breaker Services, we believe that a thorough Inspection Analysis is the foundation of every successful repair. When a hydraulic hammer or breaker arrives at our facility, we completely disassemble it from top to bottom, allowing us to conduct a detailed and meticulous analysis of each component. This process is crucial to identifying the root cause of the failure and ensuring that your equipment is restored to optimal working condition.
Our inspection begins with a complete chemical cleaning, ensuring that all parts are free of contaminants that could mask wear or damage. Once cleaned, every major component of your hydraulic hammer is examined by our highly trained personnel. We focus on critical areas prone to wear and tear, including:
- Housing Wear
- Bolts and Fasteners
- Valve Body Surfaces
- Impact Ring Wear
- Seal Carrier Wear
- Tie Rods, checking for stretched threads or in-thread cracks
- Piston Wear
- Cylinder Wear
- Front Head or Tool Holder, inspecting for cracks, wear, or scoring
One of the most important steps in our inspection process is the use of Magnaflux testing on critical parts such as the piston, cylinder, and front head or tool holder. This advanced process detects hard-to-spot issues like spider cracks or surface cracks that could lead to catastrophic failure if left unaddressed. Magnaflux testing gives us the confidence that even the smallest cracks won’t go unnoticed.
In addition to visual inspections and Magnaflux testing, we use precision instruments such as micrometers to measure the wear tolerances on key components like the piston diameter, cylinder inner bore, and front head or tool holder ID. These precise measurements allow us to identify deviations from factory specifications and detect wear that could compromise the performance of your hydraulic hammer.
