Hydraulic Hammer and Breaker Repairs and Reconditioning Services
Hydraulic Tool Holder and Front Head Repair
Cracked front heads due to dry firing, prying, or improper use are common issues—but not a problem for us. At Hydraulic Breaker Services, we specialize in refurbishing both minor hairline cracks and severely damaged front heads. Additionally, we stock a wide range of rebuilt and used tool holders and front heads to ensure fast turnaround.
Our Repair Process
With our professional repairs and reconditioning services, once your hydraulic hammer or breaker arrives, it is disassembled and thoroughly inspected. A detailed estimate outlining the necessary parts and services will be prepared and sent for your approval. Once we have your authorization, we aim to complete the reconditioning process and have the breaker ready for shipping within 5-7 business days.
Breaker Reconditioning Includes the Following:
- The main body is separated into the tool holder, N2 back cap, and cylinder sections. If applicable, the accumulator is removed for separate inspection.
- The cylinder section is completely disassembled, including the removal of factory machining access plugs, and is sent out for a deep cleaning. This ensures no contaminants remain, which prolongs future seal life—a step many shops overlook.
- After cleaning, new access plugs are installed, and the cylinder is reassembled with all-new seals in the cylinder body, control valve body, and BPM adjuster case assemblies. The piston is either reconditioned to factory standards or replaced.
- The accumulator is rebuilt with a new bladder and reinstalled, while new upper and lower bushings are fitted into the tool holder section.
- The reassembled breaker is torqued to factory specifications, cycle-tested for performance, and finished with a durable machinery-grade paint.
Hydraulic Hammer Piston and Cylinder Crack Repair
Many dealers may tell you a cracked or worn hydraulic hammer is beyond repair, but at Hydraulic Breaker Services, we specialize in restoring breakers that others might deem irreparable. Our precision repairs can often save you significant costs, preventing the need for a costly new hammer.
Common Issues We Address:
- Cylinder Damage: Whether worn out or pitted, we can rebuild and re-bore the cylinder to meet factory specs, or replace it if necessary.
- Piston Repair: Cracked or scored pistons can either be rebuilt or replaced entirely.
- Thrust or Impact Ring Repair: If the ring is egg-shaped or cracked, we can rebuild and re-bore it to specifications or provide a replacement.
Each hammer we repair undergoes a comprehensive cycle test to ensure proper operation before it leaves our facility.
